The Long Weekend

This is one of the very few moments when you want to kiss PGMA, her holiday economics was really a blessing to all (hard) working individuals like me (hehehe). Last weekend our destination was Puerto Princesa, Palawan. We booked this trip a month ago when RA 9492 was announced. Through the lovely efforts of Jenny’s Travel & Tours the vacation we had was something worth remembering. Here are a few pics from my camera, more cool & amazing pics with story to follow.

Bourne Ultimatum

You really don't remember? I lost count how many times these lines were mentioned.

Have I named my fave movie of 2007 already? If not yet (I know I LOVE Transformers but this one outwitted it). Well this is it! I watched the first 2 intallments & they were both okay but this one is ultimately the best. I don't like Matt Damon that much but this movie made me like him for more than an hour (hehehe). And Bourne (David Webb) just won't die - he's always getting away & over & over. Watch it guys you'll enjoy it promise.

Oh Baby Baby It's A Wild World

I read this news on the net about the first bill iPhone users received and it’s crazy. Talk about a 300 pages phone bill. People might think whoa, that’s a lot of activity that’s a lot of money but would you believe that the bill costs $270+ only? Talk about uprooting all the trees available for their very detailed billing.

Counting machines that are defective – made in the Philippines? Yes oh my oh my. These are the counting machines that registered more than 18,000 blank votes in Florida last 2006. We should all still be feeling overjoyed after the World Boxing Cup championship. Now it’s raining heavily on our parade. Bwisit!

Mixed emotions… a lot of things to be happy, sappy & sadly about. Pension plan for the retired & injured athletes – way to go Darlene. Quentin feeling Pinoy and smiling over Flood Fiction. Josh Hartnet and his golden heart and now he’s so far away. Books & more books – thanks Marco in advance.

Sale Sale sale!!! Powerbooks til Aug 31, National Bookstore til Sept 15 and International Bookfair by the end of this month. Oh & did I mention Palawan???

Almost the weekend, enjoy and don’t get soaked (if ever it’s a wet weekend).

Recap version 2

I am hooked listening to this girl named Maria Mena. She's been around the music industry for sometime now, young and very talented - adjectives that I could give her. I've been reading her blog and she's crazy hehehe. I listen to her songs for days now and cliche' as it may sound "I can relate". I heard some of her songs years ago but I didn't pay much attention until I contemplated on the message behind the "Sorry" song. The ultimate basted song hehehe. I am yet to be rejected but I am preparing for my comfort goodies for that day (read: the songs I'll listen too when I'm all depressed, lonely and lethargic with patheticism). Try listening to her guys, feel sappy, feel mushy, feel depressed, feel lonely, feel rejected, feel pathetic, feel inlove.

remind me why we decided this was for the best...
because i miss you love...
i know the distance is a factor but i stretch as often as i can.
i hope to reach your hands any day now.
please don't blame me for trying, to fix this one last time.
i have a hard time as it is because i miss you love...

what is the game we're playing?
should i stick around for more?
snap your fingers i'll coming running,
leave again when you're bored with me
i'll make it easy...
nevermind me, nevermind me i'll just cast shadows on your walls
nevermind me, nevermind me, my god i feel so small
nevermind me, nevermind me i'll just cast shadows on your walls
nevermind me, nevermind me i'll just let myself out.
this facade that i'm stuck with has got me wondering
just tell me how you want me and i'll be naked stumbling
just to get a reaction, any signs of love

just poured my heart out
there's bits of it on the floor
and i take what's left of it and rinse it under cold water
and call him up for more
and i say baby, yes i feel stupid to call you, but i'm lonely
and i don't think you meant it when you said you couldn't love me
and i thought maybe if i kissed the way you do, you'd feel it too
he said i'm sorry
so sorry
i'm sorry
so sorry
(Sorry)

Enjoy the weather my dear friends, for those who hate the rain just like me, sleeping is an option - sweet dreams!

Recap

Reports week, Jenny & myself are buried with paper works but I’m not up to the task. Rainy days really makes me sad. All I want to do is stare at the window, sip hot coco but what I can only do today is sip hot coco & stare at my PC screen. It’s not that I hate my job (although it always sounds like I do hate it), I am really blessed to have this job, I have great colleagues and I have really learned a lot from my boss. There are just days like this when I’m not in the mood to do what I’m being paid for hehehe instead I am writing non-sense on this blog.

I had a hard time falling asleep last night (as predicted by Rovs but the reason was not what she said). I watched like 2 movies – both which I was not able to watch from the start. Full Monty was on Star Movies and another one with subtitles from the Hollywood channel. I got bored with the TV so I switched to the book I was finishing. I got bored with the book so I shifted to the photo albums. I browsed through my old albums and I can’t help but be proud of myself for my wonderful friends. I have a great group of friends, I am blessed and I thank God for them.

I wasn’t able to tell stories of my best friend Luchie’s vacation here last July. Apart from the Boracay trip that the two of us took we also watched Harry Potter 5 on IMAX, celebrated Yong’s 27th birthday and did some shopping (we met a couple of times in Makati). It was really short but it was nice. The Boracay trip was awesome. Day 1 was stormy, we arrived in a very wet Aklan. Locals said that it has been raining for days already, we arrived on a Friday and rain started pouring Tuesday so you could just imagine the frustration we both felt. We had a full body massage at the hotel that afternoon, took a walk at the beach, had dinner at a Thai restaurant, and raided Niq & Janice in their room at La Carmela de Boracay. We then went for a drink before heading back to our hotel. We watched a LOT of TV then finally slept around 2 am. I woke up early around 6 am and to my dismay, it is still raining outside :(. I went back to bed & woke up again around 8 am to my surprise! The sun is already shinning yippee! Luch & I strolled along D’Mall to buy pasalubongs & other Bora stuff. We hanged out at the beach, Chie went swimming for a while then we went to lunch with Niq & Janice at Aria. Food there is superb, I recommend their vegetarian pizza, it’s really great. After lunch we went sailing. We went to 3 different islands, snorkelled a bit and then went lastly to Island Cove. We swam, took pictures and head back to White Island. It was on our way back that one of the scariest things to have happened in my life “happened”. It was like our last day on earth experience. It began to rain again (heavy rains, you will cry ouch every time a drop which was huge falls on you), the sea was in rage and since we were sailing we have to be dependent on the wind to be able to maneuver the boat. Manong & his assistants were experts however you can say that they are nervous and really having a hard time making the boat turn around. We survived *whew*, we went back to the hotel still feeling a little shaky, the four of us had coffee then Niq & Ja went back to their hotel. Luchie & I head out to get tattoos. Luch got a tribal design while I had the Chinese character for the word “dream”. We then had a quiet dinner at The Hawaiian Barbeque, went back to the hotel, watched more TV to relax before going out again with Niq & Ja for drinks. We hanged out in Hey Jude bar where the DJ is an eye candy. Day 3 was bye bye day for us, we had breakfast at CafĂ© del Sol (I love their hot mocha), Luchie swam some more (notice that I am not really fond of swimming but I do love a lot of water activities) then we freshened up, packed our things & said our last goodbyes to Boracay.

Simpsons Movie – hilarious.
Simpsons fans got a good treat, the long wait (18 years) was over and it was worth it. I went to watch it with my pamangkins and we were all laughing hard holding our stomachs. I am not a die hard fan but I do watch the show whenever I catch them on cable. If you could take Homer’s humor I’m sure you’ll have a grand time watching the movie.

License to Wed… a feel good movie.
Not something that you should definitely watch but do watch it if you have the time & some money to spare. A good way to pass the time (I have a confession: I like Mandy Moore so I watch her movies – all of them). You'll be entertained.

to be continued...

He’s here… and no one is really interested but me? Hehehe, I have been feeling all hyper this morning & late last night upon learning that cutie Josh Hartnett is here in the country to shoot a movie. So brave mind you, he’s off to Mt. Diwalwal – he’s not even bothered by news about kidnapping & stuff? *sigh* I so love him na :D although I must admit that he's not really that good in acting. But so what? Hehehe he's still so adorable.

I finally found my “wake album”. Yes, songs to be played while my body is being stared at or ignored by people who knows me, people who loves me or those who just want to be there at my wake for the sake of. Those who were able to read this and if in years to come that the fateful day of my demise arrived… please advise the dj (yes I would love to have a dj at my funeral) to play the whole Ryan Adams Easy Tiger album (with special countless repeats on Everybody Knows & The Sun Also Sets tracks). People may wonder why the country/hip/punk songs of Ryan – people change & by the time I’m dead it’ll be a cool sound hehehe.

I would like to share this information hehehe. This one is hilarious. I’ve been checking my Friendster page this morning when I came across the info on the activity of my friends. This can be seen on the home page mismo. I noticed something crazy, anything more than four weeks old is considered 38 years ago hehehe. Oh well ang babaw ko talaga.

And this my friends is a disturbing photo of Joel. I stole it from his friendster page hehehe. Enjoy!
