Mmmm...

Miss the days when I can just pick up the landline and call my bestfriend who’s just here in Manila, who happens to be just in a different city from where I am.
Miss the days when I can send best bud a text message on some random thoughts or episodes currently being showed on National Geo, I get an instant reply then… we share the same channel but not anymore, we don’t even share the same country code.
Miss the days when I can go to Makati just to have coffee with G or J then we’ll watch as the stores in GB3 were being locked by their staff – another day has gone… now traffic has been really terrible going there from where I am.
Miss the days when I am itching to go home to my old hometown… Holy Weeks, Christmases, summer vacations, sem breaks, parent’s anniversary, All Soul’s and Saint’s, and others… now I dunno if I still have a hometown to go to.
Miss the days when I say hello to the rising sun after watching DVD series marathon style. Now I am so sleepy that even talking to the boyps with my eyes open or glued to the tube can be hard work.
Miss the days when it’s already Thursday, my favorite day… now it’s already Saturday and I didn’t have a clue. It’ll be Monday once again and I would be wondering where are all my weekends?
Miss the days when I can just sit back and relax while watching a movie, now while watching my mind is making circles as to how much work should be done when the movie is over.

I keep on missing people, things & all. What is happening to my world?

Thursday Thoughts

The Supremes are always messing up with me, I don’t find it irritating though. I am just thankful that in their very busy lives they still managed to think of something that will definitely shake my dormant life. There are times when things they planned for me leaves me crashed and burned and most of the time I know it’s my fault.

Oh well another earth shaking incident however I find myself just staring into nothingness.

How can life get so complicated? Cliché I know but I’d still want to let it out and say it.

Its Maundy Thursday kiddos. Enjoy your vacays, just be safe and say a little prayer every now and then.

The Unfortunate

For no apparent reason you can’t sleep at night.

There’s nothing good on TV, you’ve used up all your DVD resources and you’re not in the mood for those still unwatched.

You read a little then you don’t want to continue, the story is just boring you. You switch to another book, it’s not working either.

It’s already 2 am… you turn the laptop on tried going online, no one is available to talk to.

You tried texting the BFF, no reply perhaps because she’s already asleep or on night shift.

You get up, walk outside the room and open the fridge. Water or milk? You took a sip from the milk carton (hehehe), went back inside the room switch the TV on again and browse through channels hoping that in the last 30 minutes something worth watching might be on. This one of those moments when you feel that you’re just wasting your money paying the cable company. There’s still nothing good on.

And then you suddenly feel very tired. You feel sleepy, hooray! You feel so happy you’re now beginning to doze off. You’re now half conscious and smiling.

Then after like 30 minutes you heard a loud sound… the alarm clock is now blaring. Time to get up, what?!?!

That’s my life.

The "Final" Verdict

Last Friday, I felt fidgety over the fact that Book 7 will be released the next day. I collect HP books but I have the paperback versions of 1-4, book 5 in paperback however UK edition and book 6 hard bound but the UK edition’s size was just the same with the US version’s paperback. This is the reason why my mind is battling over buying and not buying... if I buy the last installment in hard bound it wouldn’t look great on my shelf. I though I could wait like last year however this year no e-book version was released. I know I ruined it for everyone who reads my blog when I said after 24 hours of Book 6’s release that Dumbledore died. I had an exchange of opinions with my friends & colleagues Jen & Rovs when they told me that it won’t hurt me if I wait a little longer & not to buy Book 7 the US hardbound edition. And since I am born without any EQ, I really went to bookstores last Saturday asking if I could purchase one copy. 2 of the stores I went to said I could but that I will have to buy it the next day after all the reserve copies were claimed by their rightful owners. I guess that was a clear sign that I should not buy a hard bound copy of the book. Later that day after discussing my sentiments with my friends, Joel who already got his copy told me that I could borrow his book because he’ll not be able to read it yet, as usual he’s busy with work. I grabbed the opportunity being offered to me after making sure that it is totally fine with him that I’ll be the first one to fumble through the lovely pages of his new book.

I finished the book in 8 hours and what can I say about the ending? Rowling did her best to end it in a way that it should be. I’m not gonna ruin it for everybody like I did last year. I’ll let everybody enjoy the last book and find out for themselves who’s the traitor, who died, who survived, and who lived. The Potter experience was really something. In a way I felt sad that next year all we can wait for is the Half Blood Prince movie and The Deathly Hallows in 2010. We’ll all be old in more years to come but everyone in our generation would know that when you mentioned “He Who Must Not Be Named” you’ll forever remember “The Boy Who Lived”.

Perhaps JK Rowling could write the story of the new generation (*hint hint*). But she's right when she said that she could no longer write anything as great as the HP series.

Thanks Jo for lending me your book.

I wish...

I could write crazy stuff again...
I could talk to my bestfriend for hours not thinking about both our phone bills...
I could wake up smiling without the headaches...
I could lie down with a book sunbathing under the sun in a beautiful beach...
I could cuddle with my pamangkins and just feel like a kid again...
I could spend the summer vacationing for weeks up to 2 months just like when I was still a student...
I could go out of town without the baggage of the city (read: stress from the office, from people I'm not really fond of, from the whole urban depression)...
I wish I could sit by the window watching the rain drops while sipping hot coco (mindsetting itoh! ang init kase)...

I wish I could, just... but I can't.

Who The?

What would make me sleep a real sleep, I wonder - all the time. The what became "how" and now I've resorted to "WHO". The million dollar question now is who.

I find myself staring at the ceiling most of the time. I need to sleep around 12 so that I could have atleast 3 hours of rest (not even a goodnight sleep) when I wake up at 3 am to read. Crazy as it is... I really need to get up, read and start the day early as the sun rises. My pimples are the living proof of that and although I have more often failed to wake up on the first sound of the alarm, I try my best to discipline myself with waking up at 3.

**************************************

Updates on the sleepwalker e-buzz... oh well, I have a new past time - torturing the soul of an ex-friend. Ex-friend why? He used to be my friend's significant other, we became friends since I am nice (harhar) they broke up, he became an asshole overnight. Chaos began when I unlocked the mystery by being brave enough to let what I think known by a lot of people (so you see I started it... I let the objects of his Pandora's box escape). Truth emerged and it was nasty. Do I regret being involved? Yes & No. Yes because now the war (I'm a peace loving person, *gulp*) is on and No because the SOAB was being possed by evil spirits named Inday and Lucrecia that is why he deserves to be exorcised. And anything for Babs, will do anything & everything for her.

It is really absurd and it really sucks when some people's comprehension skills are really way way below acceptable level. Word of advise, the key is to focus. If you're being attacked verbally, fight like a man (if you're a man) - don't be a coward or go running to hide on somebody else's skirt and then use it as a shield. Don't lie, don't curse (or atleast when you do make sure it's a legitimate word that could earn you an accusation for profanity) and most of all if you can't express it in English, don't ever dare use English words - the message you were trying to convey will all be meaningless - it'll only be you who'll get what you mean - message sending failed. It'll be very pathetic believe me. So try using Tagalog instead - this way your message will be crystal clear. Whoa... context clue? Not even applicable to the words you used.

Do not fight a character assasination with a physical appearance issue. It is not a match - purely a waste of time. Not worth debating on because my near blind eyes (but thanks to contact lenses for making it back to 20/20 vision) don't lie. And if you're smart even a bit, looks doesn't matter anymore (atleast to me and to a lot of people I'm pretty sure). What's sad is that you're not smart, not even nice, you have the worst choice of words, you're genuinely pathetic and an eyesore. How lonely could that be?

So now that the battle is on, like we said - bring it on. Just make sure you can end things that you started. If not, we'll finish them off for you, it will not be a pretty sight. It'll make you wish that our roads shouldn't have never crossed.
