Total Eclipse

video

Laugh, laugh & laugh!!! Here's a video of moi, Gabs, Ziella & Saree singing at the top of our lungs to the tune of Total Eclipse of the Heart (ayan Zie nabago ko na hehehe) at Redbox last Saturday. Courtesy of Joel's video talent (mahilo kayo sa gulo ng camera). One reason why there should be 1 microphone for all sa mga videoke joints hehehe - para di si Gabs & Zie lang ang nagmomonopolize ng microphone.

FOB video 3

Final video with poor quality from the Fall Out Boy concert last Friday. I'll post the one with superb (hehehe according to my standards) quality on Wednesday cos' I won't be able to do so tomorrow.

Here's the video presentation that my friends did for me, this was shown last Friday at the urprise Bday Party. Galing di ba? I am so blessed (for the nth time, this is my favorite line so far for I am truly blessed, I have great friends who love me dearly). Enjoy watching it, feel free to laugh at my photos (especially those from the dark ages).

Crazy Comment 1

I'll be posting the crazy comments from the person who did the subtitles and translation of the Candy Candy DVD Master Jenny gave me. Hehehe this one is not too funny, I'll be posting more soon.

Grrr!!!

I dunno if the template I have expired or what... basta nawala na lang sya, hirap kaya mag ayos ng template noh!

Surprise Birthday Party

I am so blessed! I am, really. Last Friday my work friends collaborated with my college Jologs friends for a best surprise party ever. The event was planned 3 weeks in advance, I didn’t have a clue until my old pictures came running into my own hands. I have guessed that my work friends are cooking up something special for me, it might be a scrap book or a photo montage but to my delight, it was a video presentation complete with Princess theme and video messages from people close to me but are not able to be with me on that party.
Flowers I got from Ses and from my best friend Luchie (thanks to Richard for bringing it over at the party)

Conspiracy surrounded me the whole week, my Ma was involved, and Pen’s Mom was also dragged. Thursday afternoon Ziella asked me to accompany her to Makati the next day. I said yes provided my colds get better, Jen even gave me a cup of ginger tea na talaga namang pang alis ng sipon hehehe para gumaling ako. Friday arrived, Rovs asked me if I want to go to Festival Mall. Instead of going with her to Festival I invited her to just go with me & Ziella, according to Ziella we’ll be meeting Gabs there. And Saree informed me that there is a mallwide 70% off sale in Landmark, san ka pa? So the Makati excursion on a Friday evening is really tempting. What made it so much more inviting is that another friend Jeng is going there… di kame magcocommute! Super plantsado yung plan. So off we go to Makati, Rovs & Ziella & I roamed around Glorietta. Gabs was late daw sabi ni Zie, buti na lang it was really sale, I busied myself browsing through stuff that looks good. After an hour of just circling around Glorietta and Landmark Ziella said that we are to meet Gabs at Max’s Glorietta 2. So we went to Max’s, I went to sit with Rovs at the waiting area while Zie look for Gabs & ate Auds (Ziella said that Gabs was late because she’s with ate Auds). Ziella called us andun daw si Gabs, nagtaka pa ko kase sa function room complete with curtains. Zie went in first, the next thing I know she was screaming, nasilip ko yung room dameng tao but the only person I got a glimpse was Gaux – sabi ko kamukha ni Margaux, I haven’t seen Gaux in 7 years so I was pretty sure that the reason Zie screamed was because nagkamali sya ng pasok dun sa room. I immediately went to the side of the door – nagtago ako mahirap nang mapahiya. Then I felt Rovs was kinda pushing me to enter the room. There it was the planned surprise bday party. With poppers and party hats and streamers. The next thing I know they were giving me a scepter and placing a tiara on my head.

GUILTY! Persons responsible for the successful party - Udeng, Jeng, Pen, Rovs, Tina, Dines, Jo & Jenny

My parents, niece & nephew were even there, sinundo sila ni Dines, grabe effort talaga and I know that a lot of it were the doings of my sisters Jenny (slave na nga nya ako eh, different story), Jeng, Dines, Saree & Ziella. Everybody did their part – si Pen taga collect ng pictures ko (mga luma at neneng pix ko) from my Mama. Although nabuking ko nga yung pictures because Pen’s messenger brought it sa office, eh nasa pantry si Jen ako ang nagreceive, di naka envelope pagtingin ko I was shocked to see my pictures. Sobrang nagtampo si Jenny ayaw kumausap ng kahit sino hehehe. The next day okay naman na. Bloopers galore lang talaga. Inabot sa akin nung messenger because kamukha ko yung nasa picture – tawang tawa talaga kame.

with my Jologs hermanas (& my Ma)

The video presentation they did was really great (I’ll post it the soonest it’s converted). Naantig talaga ako. Thanks to Kuya Berns, Myra, Marco & Prof. Jerome for the video messages. Thanks to Tita Kimmy for the letter. To my Jologs friends… Saree, Vina, Gabs, Zie, Chona (& fafa Ronald) Faye, Olive, Margaux (sobrang nice to see you again friend) and Mommy Redj… maraming salamat!!! To Randz, Tina & Moises, thanks for coming and most of all for the gifts. To Udeng, Jeng, Dines, Rovs, Pen, Jo and Jenny… mahal ko talaga kayo, thanks. To my family (Ma, Pop, Jude & Meng), to my cousin Richard and to my betsy Luchie (who called overseas hehehe phone patch!).

wacky pose of Jologs (Faye, Mommy Redj, Zie, Vina, Gaux, Chona, Saree & Moi - feeling Princess)
Sa mga di nakarating, knowing that you all would like to come to the party but wasn’t able to do so because of important appointments & other unavoidable factors maraming salamat pa rin. It means a lot to me.
with Joel - ang late ever!
The night was concluded with a cup of coffee at UCC. Thanks talaga mga friends ko, sobrang saya ng week before my birthday. I really felt like a princess that night... kahit pa basahan look ako that day (get up na ikinataas ng kilay ni Jenny umaga pa lang).

with Mommy Redj, Faye & Margaux (at talagang hawak ko pa ang cupcake na gawa ni Jenny)
I don’t want to say “unfortunately” cos’ it’s not, it was in fact a real nice blessing that I am now a slave – forever slave – ni Jenny. NAHANAPAN NYA AKO NG CANDY CANDY DVD! Complete 115 episodes. I love you master! Galing talaga ng sister ko.

More pictures + the video soon.

Here it goes...

… due to some friends’ insistent demand hehehe eto na ang wish list. I skipped this thing last year in my attempt to be un-shallow but I guess the real me resurfaced. I just think these would be great but please don’t take it seriously (but if you want to I can’t argue with that *wink wink*). The mere fact that I’ll be remembered on the day means a lot already so don’t fuss… these are just stuff. Having the friends I have now marked my 20ish birthday happy already.

Tiara Trinkets (clips, pins, shirt but phuleaze! don’t give me a crown hehehe) CDs (Muse’s Black Hole and Revelations & Lifehouse’s latest) Nora Ephron’s new book and this one by Elizabeth Wurtzel (I’ve been tying to hold a copy of this book for 2 years now) and She’s Come Undone by Wally Lamb

Eto, kung sino man makahanap nito grabe pag mamahal sa akin & I’ll be forever your slave!!! Complete Season of Cancy Candy DVD or VCD (with English subtitle) Gabriel Garcia Marquez Complete Works Box Set (saw one sa Powerbooks dati)

LOTIONS!!!
& Lots of lotions hehehe. Don’t want to be dehydrated for the whole year.

Mababaw lang talaga ako, pasensya na po.

Music That Feeds The Soul

Pre-concert picture with my sis Dinah. We didn't know what to expect, we were there because we love Switchfoot!!!

The crowd went wild, moshpit guys went gaga when the band started playing. Edge of My Seat would have completed my night but they had a very good set list... all the hits were played and we can't help but be proud that we know the lyrics of even their not so famous songs.

With my own bandmates: Arlene, Jenny, Raymond & Dinah
1. The band... Jon on vocals & lead guitar, Tim on bass, Drew on guitars, Chad on drums and Jerome on synthesizer & all others (hehehe multi-tasking, iba talaga ang pinoy... guitars & tamborine din sya say nyo)... 2. balut challenge, Switchfoot is the first ever foreign band to sucessfully ate Philippines' exotic food - the Balut. They were all really great and honest that they will not try it again hehehe (kahit ako noh ayoko nun) ... 3 & 4. Jerome - proudly Pinoy (slangers nga lang) ... 5 & 6. Jon & his advocacy for justice and for picture takings hehehe.Yes, we were standing this close to Jon Foreman when he run down the stage and gave the public a little information about how great help IJM is doing for the benefit of the Filipinos.

Jon asked everybody to take a picture all at the same time, yes massive flash attack, here's what I got. I guess everyone's picture would have me & my friends at the back of Jon kaya all smiles kame. I saw all of them looking and aiming their cameras at our directions. The flashes can blind you hehehe.Bye Jon, bye Tim, bye Drew, bye Chad and bye Jerome. You guys are great musicians and inspiration to everybody. God bless you for your contribution in making this world a better place. Making lives meant to be lived.

Saturday Night

Before I post my Switchfoot photos I'll be posting the pictures from Saturday when I met up with my college girl friends.
With work and other things that keep us busy, my Jologs friends & I make it a point to catch up with each other's lives (gossips & real life dramas). We may all be busy but we squeeze in the dinner or coffee every once in a while. I am that fortunate to have great friends like them. The planned get together took place last Saturday, Sept. 8 at Greenbelt. It was belated for Gabs & advance bday celeb for me. What more can you ask for when 12 days before your actual birthday, gifts started pouring in? Thanks to my hermana Saree for the blouse, Vines for the perfume and Ziella, dear Zie… for the Cons, it made my Switchfoot experience very fashionable hehehe.
Picture above: Ziella and Vina... below: moi with my hermana Saree
Chona & Fafa Ronald was with us however since mga taga Antips maagang nagsiuwi.

With Ziella Loans (hehehe).

Switchfoot live in Manila

Went with Jenny, Dines, Arlene & Raymond at the Switchfoot concert at Cuneta Astrodome last night. We had great seats and it was really awesome. Unbelievable is the word I chose to describe the experience.

I know this video's quality is not that great, I used my phone so there goes the poor quality hehehe. This is just a teaser, will post pictures & stories hopefully later :)

International Bookfair Pose

with Sam Concepcion at the International Bookfair WTC last Sept 1, this kid is a certified heartthrob.

Tamilok

We tried this Palawan delicacy "Tamilok" (wood worm) at Kinabuch. Verdict? Tastes like oysters. Everybody tried it except for Ziella who’s a self confessed non-FEAR factor material.

Sexy Backs?

don't be surprised if a picture will turn out... Jenny's back while taking a picture of Joel who's taking my picture while I take a picture of the majestic view... labo ba? hehehe.
